The operation of heavy machinery will always be a great contributor of risks both for the operator, the stability of the company, the community and the infrastructure. That is why today at Maoparts we wanted to share with you some recommendations that we consider fundamental when operating this type of machinery and thus minimize work accidents:
1- The machine should not remain alone at any time. If the machine is a bulldozer or excavator type, the blade can only be parked once. Verify that the scarifier or shovel is properly supported on the ground.
2- The Bulldozer for parking must remain at least 3 meters away from the edge of excavations, trenches, wells to avoid the collapse of the land.
3- The maximum slope of the land where a Bulldozer type machine is used will be 30%.
4- When the machine is not in use, it must remain off, rest the bucket, shovel and ladle on the ground and activate the brake.
5- For the mobilization of backhoes, the stabilizers of the bucket arm must be activated as well as its rotating area.
6- On sloping terrain, work must be done facing the slope.
7- For wheeled backhoes, in trenching work, the stabilizers and the bucket must be placed on the ground.
8- For caterpillar backhoes, before starting work on sloped terrain, the state of the brakes must be verified.
9- The operator must be notified in writing about his risks during the operation of machinery.
10-The operator must have academic training and work experience in handling heavy machinery, by presenting the academic certificates that accredit it and/or empirical training through labor certifications as an operator with at least one year of experience.
This is why at Maoparts we are aware of your safety so do not allow bad practices to put your heavy machinery at risk, much less your life and that of the operators.
Cheers
